Hello I have this issue with AHCI drivers on windows 8 x64 I already installed the OS and i switch to AHCI mode on my motherboard but i found out that windows 8 does not pre-install AHCI drivers How. Highlights of the AMD Catalyst™ 15.7.1 Windows Driver Windows® 10 Support This driver provides support for Windows® 10 as well as full WDDM 2.0 and DirectX® 12 support which is available on all AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) products, - AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 and newer graphics products. Snazio tv capture card drivers for mac. I downloaded and installed the latest AMD chipset driver 15.7.1, but the installer doesn't update the AHCI driver. I had to manually update the driver in device manager and point it to where the installer extracted the drivers. This package provides the installation files for AMD AHCI Driver 11.11 for Windows 7 x32 and x64. I would like to Enable AHCI in Windows XP 32bit on an AMD chip set, without a reinstall.
In every single example I can find online, people show methods for enabling AHCI in Windows XP for Intel chipsets, I have not found a single example of doing it on an AMD chipset. Not hp c5100 printer driver for mac. The Intel examples do not get me anywhere.
I have a triple boot setup, that was installed in the order of Windows XP professional first, Windows 7 Professional 2nd and Linux Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS 3rd.
If I would need to reinstall Windows XP, and then get all 3 OS'es booting again, It would mean also reinstalling Windows 7 (as XP will kill the Grub + Win 7 boot stuff) and then in the end installing Grub again from a Linux boot CD, after Win 7 killed Grub.
Nvidia geforce 9600 gt 512mb. I have a 'MSI 970A G43' Motherboard. The chipset drivers are delivered by Catalyst (Who claims it is installing the GPU .. go figure as I have a Geforce). I have attempted to just install the Catalyst driver, and as a second alternative method, tried to install stuff by hand thru the device manager from the latest driver downloads from the MSI website, while AHCI is disabled in the BIOS. Sigmatel stac9200 intel 82801gbm ich7 m driver for mac. The Controller says 'SCSI/RAID' but the individual SATA ports only have a choice setting of PIO or DMA mode, installing drivers from folders labled 'AHCI' gives the same PIO/DMA mode style drivers, booting with AHCI gives a BSOD.
The reason I still have Win XP running, is that it has a lot of legacy programs that I was using before still installed there, and I like to keep Windows 7 as clean as I can, while doing most stuff from Linux. At the moment I run only two games from Win 7, rest is from Linux, with Win XP getting lucky if it gets booted 1x every 3 months, so it's not a big thing to disable AHCI and go to Win XP and set it back again, but it would be fun if it was not needed. If I am forced to reinstall Win XP then never mind, it's not worth the hassle.
(Sorry AHCI -blushes- I was typing from memory ;D thanks for the edit.)
//Edit: the board uses the AMD® 970 and SB950 Chipset, so it is an AMD chipset and these are normaly installed nowadays with AMD's Catalyst driver.

Amd Ahci 32 64 Bit Win Drivers For Mac
Hi folks hope somebody can help me- pulling my hair out here! I've read the threads of how to install the AHCI drivers for Windows XP after it has been installed..and need to do that from the device manager. But the problem is I can not find the drivers- all I can find is the pre-install driver- which means re-installing Widnows and all my proggies again twice as well as finding an old floppy drive...the raw driver has got to be around somewhere, right? ;-) Also on a related note- recently tried to slipstream XP install disks with nLite- whaatever I do it just doesn't seem to work- leaving most of the updates out on 32 bit and virtually all on 64 bit...pretty sure I'm not a total muppet, but can not work out what is going wrong?
